Disabled Visitors
We strive to facilitate an enjoyable show day for all our disabled visitors.
This year we have added a Mobiloo for the use of our disabled visitors. This is ideal for those visitors in wheelchairs with carers. Please look at the Mobiloo website for full details.
Paid tickets for disabled visitors and their free carer tickets can be organised in advance. On-line electronic tickets are available through the on-line ticket facility on the Royal Lancashire Agricultural Show website.
In order for the carer to gain free entry, one of the following documents will need to be uploaded to the on-line ticket facility.
– A valid blue badge, front and back
– Allowance book or letter confirming entitlement to Disability Living Allowance (DLA) or Personal Independence Payments (PIP)
– Attendance Allowance or Carer’s Allowance Letter of Award
– Incapacity Benefit books or confirmation letter of Employment and Support Allowance (ESA) or confirmation letter
– Certificate of Visual Impairment (CVI) or BD8
– An Access Card
– National Disability Card
Once uploaded, your evidence will be approved by the Royal Lancashire Agricultural Show. Following approval, your on-line carer ticket will be issued.
For visitors paying at the gate on any of the Show days, one of the above documents will need to be presented to the gate staff in order for the carer to gain free entry.
Priority parking is available on a first come, first served basis for blue badge holders. The blue badge must be clearly displayed on entry for parking staff.Â
Disabled toilets can be found adjacent to each of the main toilet blocks.
Three metre wide aluminium walkways are installed, enabling easy access around the showground.
Mobility scooters and wheelchairs are available to hire on a first come, first served basis from mobility specialists, Millercare, who continue to support the Show. To reserve a mobility scooter please ring the office on 01254 814712
